Under-represented narratives with Foundland

Using reports from media to create narratives

23.04.2021  |  by ACED  |  Designalism

For this week's episode of our Designalism Podcast we interviewed Foundland Collective.

Based in Amsterdam and Cairo, Foundland is an art collective founded in 2009 in Amsterdam by Syrian artist Ghalia Elsrakbi and South African artist Lauren Alexander. They use reports from media and social media about the Middle East to create narratives based on their personal experiences.

Designalism Podcast portrays the frontrunners at the intersection of design and journalism. By combining methods, tools, and tricks from design and journalism new forms of information arises, and with that new insights and surprising perspectives.

Designalism Podcast can be listened via Spotify, Google Podcasts and Apple Podcasts.
