What can the daily news learn from artists?

Journalist Simone Weimans reflects on the Designalism Event

14.12.2021  |  by Cato Verhoeven  |  Designalism

What can the daily news learn from the arts? Will it influence each other, or stay the same? Simone analyseert what NOS (Dutch Public Broadcasting) might learn from it.

Simone Weimans has been working at NOS since 2011, where she in addition to NOS Journaal also presents Met het Oog op Morgen and Radio 1 Journaal. She studied communication sciences at the Universiteit van Amsterdam and then worked at the Wereldomroep and VARA Radio 1 as a presenter and reporter on various programs.

On June 9 2021, ACED organised Designalism: Design + Journalism, a live talk show about the intersection of design and journalism. Watch the full show on our YouTube channel. This evening was in collaboration with Beeld en Geluid Den Haag.
