Combining contemporary theater and journalism

Annet Henneman about her theater that tells stories about daily life in conflict areas

Annet Henneman is an actress and director of the Teatro di Nascosto, the hidden theater. She tells the daily life stories of people in conflict areas. She has travelled all over the world to gather these stories.

But to gather these stories, she had to live them. Annet: "I must dress, walk, move, look, everything precisely as the people who live there. If not, they would discover who I am. So it's already interesting as an actress to say: I'm going to live somewhere in a way no one even noticed I'm there. So it means I trained myself to be completely different than from my daily life here or how I am sitting now."
